Ján H Greaker DVM MRCVS
Ján is, believe it or not, from Norway! After high school he was ready for some action, and joined the Norwegian Marines Officer Training School. After a few years military education, he left the army as an Sub-Lieutenant to pursue the dream of becoming a vet. From 2000-2001 he studied basic science at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. In the autumn of 2001 he took a big step and moved to Budapest, Hungary, to start his dream of becoming a vet. He graduated in 2006 together with his lovely girlfriend Camilla, and they both moved to England in January 2007. From 2007-2008 he completed a one-year internship at an orthopaedic referral hospital in Newcastle, Northumberland where he developed a keen interest in advanced surgery and orthopaedics. Ján joined Alver Veterinary Group in January 2008 and hopes to obtain a RCVS Certificate in orthopaedic surgery. Both Jan and Camilla spend most of their spare time with their dogs, the Rhodesian Ridgeback Leo and their Eastern-Europe street mix Tequila. They also spend lots of time playing guitars, doing K1 kickboxing and playing squash.
