Lost & Found

Pets are going astray, and pets are found. This causes distress, and we are trying to help. As you probably know, the Internet offers many websites, where one can find animals on a nationwide level, but that is not always a feasible thing to do. We have thought about this and offer a service on a local level, which means it will be restricted to the areas where our practices are. We will run this page for a while and see how and whether it works.

First, of course, we need to point out, that it helps an awful lot if pets are micro-chipped. All veterinary practices these days have scanners, so, in an ideal world, if you find a pet, you take it to the nearest vet, have it scanned and identified immediately by its individual number through the national register.

Then you can of course also phone all veterinary practices in your area, and organisations like the RSPCA, the Cat’s Protection League, the PDSA and the police. You can also stick adverts, showing a picture of the animal, on trees and fences and other well visible places in your own neighbourhood. The more the better!

And then, of course, there is also our website! If you give us details about your animal lost or found, we will put it on this page, and it will look something like what you see here:

LOST

Details of pets which have been lost will be displayed here.

A good photograph will be very helpful, and do consider well what contact details you will give on this page; an e-mail address is probably the best idea.

FOUND

Details of pets which have been found will be displayed here.

You can send your details via e-mail to
